KTEP's Good to Grow to Feature El Paso Water and TecH2O Guests -- Tune in to “Good To Grow,” on KTEP, Saturday morning, April 12, 10:00, and hear from El Paso Water and TecH2O staff on water conservation tips to keep in mind during spring. Temperatures are rising and so are water rates. Customers are cautioned to pay attention to check sprinkler and irrigation systems, follow watering restrictions, and find ways to save water and money.

TecH2O Pleased to Host Tour for Mayor's FAM tour - May, 2017 - El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser is hosting his second Financial Familiarization Tour to showcase El Paso's booming economy and economic potential to bond underwriters and investors from across the tour. Among the stops made, the 50 investors visited the TecH2O Center and adjoining Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant to learn about El Paso's innovative water leadership.

TecH2O Accepts Watermark Award at Texas water conference -- April X, 2017 - The Texas American Water Works Association presented El Paso Water and the TecH2O Center with an outstanding education program award for the Engineers Week series of events and activities, including the DiscoverE free family event. Center Manager Anai Padilla accepted the award on behalf of the utility.

Conservation Hero award goes to the El Paso Zoo

El Paso Water recognized the El Paso Zoo as the 2019 Conservation Hero at the May 10 El Paso Chihuahuas baseball game. Of various city facilities audited in 2018, the Zoo scored the highest for water efficiency best practices, which earned them the distinction.

2019 Water Festival breaks attendance record

This year’s Water Festival at the TecH2O Learning Center focused on how water influences our lives and culture. With a display of short videos, musical and dance groups, art exhibits and numerous hands-on activities, the event attracted 600 people.

TAWWA Nomination
El Paso Water Nominates YISD Educator for Award

El Paso Water is proud to have nominated Lorena Cerecerez, a Science Instructional Coach at Del Valle Elementary, to be the Water Educator of the Year Award, a distinction provided by The Texas section of the American Water Works Association (TAWWA). Many teachers from around the state are nominated, and TAWWA will announce the winner in March.

Texas Waters Specialist Program
01/02/2019
In 2018, El Paso Water (EPWater) collaborated with Texas Parks and Wildlife to offer the Texas Water Specialist lecture series at the TecH₂O Center. Over the course of seven months, 201 people attended seven lectures. For those who attended each one, certifications were granted with the hope and expectation that these individuals will give back to the community through a variety of educational programs.
